Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with traumas or accidents, occupational stresses, repetitive stress or overuse injuries, and many chronic pain conditions. An RMT is an individual who is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and the Massage Therapy Act.

Sarah has recently graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in July 2023. She has always been passionate about health and wellness, and being able to better help others through massage. Sarah can direct bill to most insurance companies, however at this time she is unable to bill to MSP, ICBC, and some Blue Cross plans including RCMP and VAC.

Sarah enjoys working with sports related injuries, compensation patterns, and chronic pain. She uses a variety of techniques such as Myofascial release, Swedish massage, Neuromuscular therapy, pediatric massage, scar care and trigger point therapy. Sarah includes a pre and post assessment in each treatment to determine the dysfunction and develop the appropriate treatment plan for each individual.

Baylei DePaulo was born in Prince George, BC and raised in Kamloops, BC where she graduated from Valleyview Secondary School in 2007. She graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy and received her diploma in January of 2014.

Baylei has been involved in sports for most of her life and lives a very active, healthy lifestyle. Some of her favourite activities include soccer, volleyball, wake surfing, hiking and the gym.

Baylei’s preferred areas of practice are Sports Related Injuries, Postural Dysfunction, Pain and Stress Management, Myofascial Release as well as Deep Tissue Massage. She includes assessment in each session to determine the cause of dysfunction which gives her a specific plan for each treatment. Her treatments will target a variety of tissues in order to get the best results. Baylei is trained to practice Graston Technique to aid in scar tissue breakdown and connective tissue dysfunction to further progress in treatments. She offers Kinesio taping to correct muscle imbalance, postural dysfunction and pain relief to specific areas.

Dr. Shane Gathercole is an enthusiastic Chiropractor who is eager to help people manage their pain and improve their quality of life. He was born and raised in Kamloops and has had a life-long involvement with Kamloops Minor Hockey as both a player and coach. He is the proud father of Jozie and Quincy Gathercole.

Dr. Gathercole attended Simon Fraser Univeristy and then Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. In 2000 he graduated Chiropractic College as valedictorian and also attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology.

Dr. Gathercole is highly trained in treating many types of injuries including those resulting from sports, motor vehicle accidents, work-related accidents and postural stresses. As a complement to Chiropractic treatments home exercises and stretches are often prescribed once an examination has been done and a working diagnosis has been reached.

Dr. Gathercole is also experienced in the prescription and fitting of orthotics / insoles to help alleviate foot, ankle, knee, hip and lower back pain.

Carlie was born and raised in Kamloops BC. In 2012 she started taking small trips and soon found that traveling was her passion. After living in Australia for a year and traveling around South East Asia, she returned to Kamloops and started working at a mill. In 2016 Carlie realized that working at a mill wasn’t for her and decided to move to Vernon to attend Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy.

Carlie graduated in 2018 and is now a part of the team at Gathercole Chiropractic & Massage. She has an active background and some of the sports she played growing up were hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball and her favorite, rugby. Now her activities of choice are snowboarding, wakeboarding and hiking during the summer.

Carlie’s preferred areas of practice are working with sports injuries, chronic pain, and helping those who suffer from headaches. A few techniques she has experience with are Myofascial release, Swedish Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Joint Mobilization, Infant Massage, Trigger Point work, Sports Massage and Deep Tissue. Carlie starts and finishes each session with an assessment, performs special tests and always ends with educating the patient and giving homecare. Trevor Milne has been an RMT since 2002, graduating from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC.

Upon graduation, Trevor went to work on cruise ships for Princess cruises and worked in a variety of spas in Vancouver, Harrison Hot Springs, and Sun Peaks, before settling in Kamloops in 2006.

In the 12 years he’s been an RMT, Trevor has taken many continuing education courses in deep tissue, fascial manipulation, and neuro-muscular therapies which has given him a skill set to assess and treat a wide array of soft tissue conditions from rehabilitation and muscle strain to maintenance and chronic conditions from overuse.
